Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world. While families deeply value education, many struggle to afford tuition, uniforms, and basic learning materials. At the same time, children and youth often lack safe, structured environments outside of school hours—which places them at risk of dropping out, joining harmful peer groups, or disengaging emotionally.
The Toto Education Fund was created to provide children with access to Education. Many children in Uganda are forced to miss school or drop out entirely due to various hardships and poverty-related barriers, and even short interruptions in schooling can have long-term consequences for a child’s future.
The Toto Education Fund removes financial obstacles for children without sponsors, to access education consistently. We work directly with local communities to ensure support reaches the children that need it most, and the fund covers their Tuition, Scholastic materials, Medical support, Arts enrichment
Many parents work long hours, leaving children without supervision after school and during holidays. This creates stress for families and increases the children’s exposure to unsafe environments and negative influences.
We foster learning outside classrooms by creating spaces where children gather to develop creative arts, build self esteem, and social relationships with peers. For many families, this program provides peace of mind—and for children, a place to belong..
