In urban low-income areas of Kenya, people with disabilities face significant barriers to employment and income. Women in particular often experience both economic exclusion and social isolation, despite possessing strong creative and technical skills.
In Rongai, a suburb of Nairobi, we partner with a co-op for deaf artisan women to support their jewelry-making business as a pathway to income, independence, and visibility. This model helps to bridge creativity and economic empowerment—allowing them the opportunity to work and support their families. World Bridge Foundation provides them with Financial support, Training, and Access to local and global markets. We also ensure transparent income distribution, fostering cooperative community and peer support
