Our life skills program is aptly named - not just because it provides skills, but because it supports freedom, vitality and the active pursuit of life. Children are taught tailoring, baking, music instrument building, making clothing, carpentry, craft making and other life skills that will aid in their employment. Even when many young people successfully complete their education, securing adequate employment can remain elusive. Our life skills training means that they always have a back-up option and can always rely on their ability to sell hand-made products in order to make a living.
Thousands of children are able to craft and create wares for global markets as a result of this program, and by purchasing hand-made crafts, you, donors and patrons are able to directly have a connection to the children they are supporting. Self-sufficiency and independence are key to success and happiness.
