For $38 a month, you will change one life of a vulnerable child

Sponsoring children’s success ensures that children trapped in abject situations can build resiliency, transcend their circumstances, and lead wonderful, healthy, and successful lives. While there is no shortage of people who are eager to lend their resources, often the disconnect between those providing funding and the recipients themselves who are thousands of miles away can be disconcerting. World Bridge Foundation ensures that sponsors are provided with consistent and transparent documentation throughout the sponsorship process. With our ground operations guided strictly by the community we serve; we manage World Bridge Foundation differently from traditional NGOs–the funds we receive for sponsorship run a direct course from sponsor to recipient.

Please sponsor a child’s success today and make a change.

Frequently Asked Questions about Child Sponsorship

Length of Sponsorship

Child sponsorship is a long-term commitment. Ideally, a sponsor will pay school fees for a child until they have completed secondary (high school) education. However, because some sponsors may not be able to make such a lengthy commitment, we ask that you sponsor a child for a minimum of 3 years.

Group Sponsorship

We encourage communities, churches, work, and school groups to sponsor our children; however, one individual should be identified as a contact person for communications with the World Bridge Foundation. Through Group Sponsorship you can select multiple children that you want to sponsor.

Partial Sponsorship

If you cannot afford to fully sponsor a child, we ask that you donate as much as you can towards our General Education fund. Your donation and those of other donors will be pooled to send as many children to school as possible.

Is my support going to a real person?

The children supported by World Bridge Foundation are real people with real dreams and interests! World Bridge Foundation aims to educate as many children as possible and our community coordinators identify the children that need help most. You can get to know your sponsored child through letters, emails, exchanging pictures, and even community visits to the School.

Do others sponsor the same child?

No, every child is matched with only one sponsor. Once you start sponsoring a child, they will no longer appear on the sponsorship list.

Choosing a child to sponsor

Many sponsors know in their hearts their reasons for supporting a particular child. If you need help to choose a child, please contact us.

Is there anything more I can do?

At World Bridge Foundation, we believe that community is a complex ecosystem. In a garden, each plant grows in the shade and protection of the other plants whose soil they share. Like in nature, the communities where sponsored children live cannot thrive and grow if the children are removed. World Bridge Foundation does not support or condone adoption or any mechanism through which a child is removed from their family or community in Uganda. If you already sponsor a child and feel that you would like to do more, please consider making a gift to our General Educational Fund. We believe in providing for the community as a whole, and not depriving it of any of its most promising young members.
